Black Anvil signs to Relapse Records
Relapse Records has announced the signing of New York's Black Anvil. The band's debut album, "Time Insults The Mind", will be reissued this fall, to be followed by the release of Black Anvil's second full-length effort sometime next year.

Black Anvil's Delaney commented: "Relapse's interest in us and our respect for them proves none of that style shit should matter. We're here to bring a malicious record to the table for you all. We currently have four songs demoed and they're so dangerous sounding."

Black Anvil will perform this weekend as part of the Pitchfork Media-presented "Show No Mercy" monthly metal series in Brooklyn with Virginia's Salome, Philadelphia's Woe and Snake Sustaine. Black Anvil has another Brooklyn show lined up for July with more regional dates to be announced soon.
